ok - after getting that requisite plug out of the way, let's quickly get to the MP3 component of this post... as that's what this (sorely under-nourished) MP3 & MORE! blog's supposed to be about. right? so yeah...

BOBBY BARE JR!!! must say i slept on this dude even though more than a few people told me i'd dig him. my bad. whatever. i'm on board now & hoping i can quickly introduce y'all to him via a coupla tunes.

a lot has been written about how his latest effort The Longest Meow is a collection of 11 songs recorded by 11 musicians (incl. mbrs of MY MORNING JACKET, ...TRAIL OF DEAD, LAMBCHOP, etc.) in 11 hours, and that's all well & good... but honestly who cares if the music isn't there, yknow? anyway - i'm here to tell you that it is in fact there & that it deserves yr attention.
