Dirty Dancing star
Jennifer Grey is set to pay BBC1′s Strictly Come Dancing a visit as she takes on the role of co-judge while Len Goodman is away next month.
The Dirty Dancing star will act as a judge on the show alongside Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel-Horwood while Len is away for a week focussing on US show Dancing With The Stars.
Jennifer’s appearance on Strictly comes after she won the US version of the BBC show last year, re-launching her career following years in the fame wilderness.
Grey, who starred alongside Patrick Swayze in hit 1987 film Dirty Dancing, performed consistently well on the US dance show in 2010 and her routines with partner Derek Hough garnered praise from judges and viewers alike.
Jennifer said she was ‘delighted to be involved’ in Strictly Come Dancing ahead of her appearance on the shown over the weekend of November 5 and 6, when Len will be filming in America.
‘I so look forward to making the pilgrimage to the birthplace of the greatest dance show, the mecca of spray tans and tangos, and to sit in for the great and pernickety Len Goodman,’ she said.
